Captain Calm tastes like a blissful bubblegum flavoured drink that will make your kids fall in love with this purple superfood blend. We have combined premium dried fruit powders with natural plant based flavours to deliver a unique and fun calming drink.

We use refractance window drying to gently dry our premium fruits and vegetables. We use this method because it provides the highest level of preservation of volatile vitamins and nutrients in food powders compared with any other drying method. This means that antioxidants, water soluble vitamins can be retained to provide their health benefits. The final dried fruit or vegetable retains its colour, nutrients and taste.

Yes! We use premium plant based flavours that are created using only natural processing methods such as heating, fermenting and pressing. There is nothing artificial in our Captain Calm.

For example, most bath soaks contain magnesium to promote a complete experience of pure relaxation; sports ointments or sprays for muscle relaxation contain magnesium. Plus most sleeping and stress-relief supplements on the market also contain magnesium as the main active ingredient. Our Captain Calm surely does contain magnesium, to be precise 74% of your child's recommended dietary intake per serve.

Captain Calm contains refractance window dried New Zealand purple carrot. This means that our purple carrot retains the highest amount of anthocyanins (the purple pigments) possible in a dried product and makes our drink a dazzling purple colour. However, as carrots are a natural product, of course, as with any other fruit or vegetable, there are seasonal variances which may result with more or less purple at times. The exact colour of Captain Calm will also vary slightly depending on the type of milk used. ie. greyish almond milk might make your kids drink darker than when made with white full cream milk. However, rest assured that our Captain Calm will taste beautiful no matter how purple the purple is.

Therefore we do not utilise herbal extracts in Captain Calm, simply the whole herb. This means that our product is more wholesome, and suitable for all members of the family to consume.

For parents' peace of mind, rest assured that we only use natural sweeteners across all of our products. Our Captain Calm contains thaumatin, which is sourced from the katemfe fruit, Thaumatococcus daniellii, found in the West African rainforests. Thaumatin is a very sweet protein that is extremely powerful so we only need to use tiny tiny amounts of it. Just to put into perspective, stevia is 200 times sweeter than sucrose, while thaumatin is about 2000 times sweeter than sucrose! Mother nature is indeed super powerful.
